In 1928 a Greek immigrant opened a sausage factory, no bigger than a two-car garage, in a small neighborhood in Detroit, now known as Detroit’s Eastern Market. He made sausage for the wagon peddlers to deliver to various stands, butcher shops, and grocers throughout the public market.
Phil Peters purchased the company in 1968, and it has been in the Peters family ever since. Today, we have grown a family business into a highly trusted national manufacturer, supplying organizations throughout the foodservice industry ranging from small family owned diners to hotels, casinos, hospitals, and restaurant franchises.
While we continue to grow and diversify, we never forget our company’s humble beginnings and what got us where we are today; hard work, loyalty & ambition. Nearly a century later, we have expanded our business and products but are proud to still use the same great tasting original breakfast sausage recipe from 1928.
